Paul Stephen is a former Detective Sergeant who completed 32 years of police service. He has a Master of Science Degree in Research Methods, a Batchelor’s of Science with Hons degree in Forensic Investigation and a Diploma in Crime Scene Investigation. He is a qualified Crime Scene Investigator, Manager and Co-Ordinator and is also a Member of the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences. Paul has been involved in numerous criminal investigations throughout his career ranging from minor crime to serious complex crime including that of rape, robbery and murder. Accordingly, he is completely conversant with all aspects of the investigative process, particularly the absolute requirement to exploit crime scenes to seize the best evidence possible. Since leaving the police service he has also consulted on criminal cases and provided expert evidence at Crown Court. He is a qualified trainer having completed both the level 3 CertEd certificate and train the trainer courses which has allowed him to deliver crime scene investigation training to overseas police officers. Recently, Paul has also been a personal effects specialist in the repatriation of property to the owners in the Grenfell Tower disaster.
